Your private cabin awaits you

Sleeping arrangements at Shadow Lake Lodge is exclusively in private cabins that accommodate between two and five guests.  

Our two King cabins sleep two people, in king-sized beds. The four Queen cabins have two queen beds and each cabin accommodates up to four people. The Standard cabins sleep two people each in two double beds, and the one family cabin sleeps up to five in a double bed, a single bed, and a bunk bed.  

Our comfortable beds have mattress covers supplied, and our guests are required to bring their own sleeping bags. The cabins are all heated with propane for year-round comfort. 

Electricity is generated from solar panels on site, and each cabin is equipped with lights and electrical outlets for your use. We kindly ask you to turn off lights when not in use to help us conserve power. 

All cabins have a porch and outdoor log furniture set up to take advantage of sweeping views across a meadow to the mountains beyond. 


Cooking and eating

Kitchen and dining areas are shared by all guests at the lodge. The kitchen is a commercial-grade space, with gas stove and oven, running hot and cold water, and plenty of counter space for multiple groups. All cooking and eating utensils are provided. 

The dining room is attached to the kitchen and has tables for large and small groups. Alcohol, soft drinks, and some snack foods are available for purchase from the full-time, on-site custodian. Guests are also welcome to enjoy their own wine or other beverages with no corkage fees. 

Meals can be enjoyed in the dining room, at the picnic tables in the meadow, or on the private porch of your cabin. 


Bathrooms and showers

Washroom facilities and hot showers powered by an on-demand hot water system are provided near the lodge and cabins. Biodegradable soaps and shampoos are supplied for our guests. Washroom facilities are for the use of our lodge guests only and are accessed with a lock code. 


CPR cabin

Relax around the wood-burning fireplace in the restored original 1929 CPR log cabin. Here you will have the opportunity to chat with other guests, enjoy your afternoon tea with a good book, or unwind with selections from our wine menu. 


On site custodians

A full-time custodian will be in residence at the lodge for the duration of your stay. A custodian will help you settle into your cabin and introduce you to all of the lodge’s facilities. Wine, beer, some snacks and souvenirs can be purchased at the lodge. 


Day use

We are very happy to welcome day use hikers and skiers to enjoy beverages and snacks at our meadow picnic tables during our summer and winter open seasons. However, our cabins, washrooms and other facilities are for the exclusive use of our overnight guests.
