THE ALPINE CLUB OF CANADA
As of December, 2019, Shadow Lake Lodge is being operated by The Alpine Club of Canada (ACC).
The lodge is an important part of the history of Banff National Park, dating back to 1929 and operated by the Brewster family over four generations. The ACC will operate the lodge in a manner that respects and preserves this legacy, and the heritage of mountain culture it represents.
We are honoured to be able to continue the tradition of providing warm mountain hospitality and exceptional food and beverages to visitors to the Canadian Rockies. We will continue to host visitors and operate Shadow Lake Lodge as it has been for the past decades and guests will not notice any difference in services or experience. We will work toward the same principles of appreciation of and respect for this very special place.
Membership in the ACC is not required to make reservations or to stay at Shadow Lake Lodge.
About the ACC
The ACC has been Canada’s national mountain club for over 100 years. We are a member-based, non-profit organization with local club sections in 25 locations across Canada. We operate the largest network of backcountry huts in North America.
