At the end of the lake, follow the flagged trail on the right hand side of the creek through the avalanche slope. This part of the trail is a little harder as you have to work your way through downed trees and a little rough terrain. After the avalanche slope, you come to two beautiful waterfalls. The route becomes better where you switch back away from the creek and the trail leads you through an upper alpine meadow. Once you reach the moraine, look for weathered stakes propped up by rocks to guide you to the tairin and onto the amphitheatre.
